What do we do?
We're a phone counselling service offering support to anyone experiencing problems related to methamphetamine. We can also offer some face to face appointments in Christchurch.
Our clients are assigned their own counsellor and can be supported at any stage of their journey - whether its help cutting down, or support with sobriety, we offer a safe space to talk things through.
The Meth Help Team is made up of experienced AOD Counsellors. The service has been established for over 5 years and has proved to be very popular with service users due to the high level of confidentiality it offers alongside very flexible delivery options.

Hear from our clinicians:

I am passionate about supporting our whaiora and their whanau as they navigate meth addiction and move towards recovery. I have a lived experience with meth addiction, having used meth for 16 years and experienced multiple incarcerations.
Today, I am proud to say that I have been clean for 11 years. I hold a degree in counselling and am a qualified AOD practitioner. My journey enables me to connect deeply with our whaiora and offer them hope and guidance on their path to recovery. - Sara

After graduating as a Social Worker I began working in the addictions field, I was offered a position in the Meth Help Team five years ago and have been working in this amazing team one day per week since. I have a passion for supporting people on their journey due to living in an area that at one time was consumed by meth and wanted to learn more about this drug which is taking over communities throughout Aotearoa. - Allie

This is my eighth year with Meth Help, a position of which I am just as passionate about today as I was when I joined 8 years ago.
I have had my own lived journey with Meth addiction, my motivation for stopping was both my children and my husband. I feel privileged to support people in their own journey of self-discovery as they navigate change.
